Magnetic Ring & Charge Cases

A magnet array built into the shell does two things: it snaps the phone onto a mount without fiddling, and it aligns the handset to a wireless charger so the coil actually lines up. Alignment is why magnetic charging is faster in practice than dropping a phone onto a pad and hoping.

The array has to be positioned to the coil rather than to the middle of the case. It is a moulding and assembly decision, and a case with magnets in the wrong place is worse than no magnets at all — it holds the phone confidently in a position that will not charge.

Hold strength is a real specification too. A case that will hold on a desk mount and one that will hold on a vibrating vehicle mount are different magnet counts, and we will ask which before quoting.

Why does alignment matter?
