Tough Dual-Layer Cases

A dual-layer case works because the two materials do different jobs: the soft inner deforms and absorbs the impact energy, the rigid outer spreads what is left across the whole shell instead of letting it concentrate at one corner. A single material can do one or the other, not both.

The word rugged means nothing on its own. Ask for the drop height the case was tested from and onto what surface, and get it in writing — a case tested onto plywood and a case tested onto concrete are not remotely the same product.

Corners matter more than faces. Almost every real-world break is a corner-first drop, which is why the inner is thickened there and why we will not supply a tough case whose corners are the same section as its sides.

Ours do. Thickness is the limiting factor and a very thick case or a metal plate in the back will stop it, so we state wireless compatibility per case rather than leaving it to chance.
